🔹 A Team Building under the sign of exchange and ambition 🔹

The Team Building 2024, organized by SOFICAU GROUP, was held in Accra from January 7 to 11, 2025, with the main objectives of taking stock of past activities, strengthening ties between employees and defining ambitious perspectives for the future. Let's look back at the highlights and lessons learned from this meeting.


Welcome and icebreaker

The morning of January 7th began with a welcome session where the facilitator warmly greeted the participants. Despite the fatigue due to the journey for some, especially those who came from Benin, a palpable excitement reigned in the room.


To build trust, each participant was invited to introduce themselves and share their experience. This activity highlighted a key quality recognized by all: loyalty , essential to ensure stability and success within firms.




Activity reports : successes and challenges to overcome


The presentation of the balance sheet by the firm occupied a central place:


  • SOFICAU GROUP , through Mr. Salec, reported:

    • 68 KEP completed ;

    • 39 companies supported , with financial reports validated on time;

    • The production of two financial statements for major partners.


However, some challenges were identified, such as delays in submission of documents by partners, which hampered the finalization of projects.


Ambitious outlook for 2025

The firm plan to:


  • Promote internal interns by giving them more responsibilities;

  • Expand their activities to Central and East Africa, with the creation of new offices.


Training workshops: leadership and strategic management

The facilitator led sessions rich in learning, focused on key themes:

  • Implementing Change as a Manager : Participants explored a practical blueprint for leading successful transitions in their organizations.


  • Unit of Work and Shared Figures : These concepts were introduced to optimize team performance by relying on harmonious collaboration and shared goals.


  • Procurement : Emphasis was placed on the subtleties required to draft competitive bids, taking into account the specific requirements of each project.


  • Time Sheets and mission expenses : The principles of time sheet management and mission expense calculations, according to GIZ national and international standards, have been detailed to avoid common errors.


These workshops enabled participants to acquire practical skills and strengthen their understanding of strategic issues.




Sporting moment: football match for unity

On the last day, the team gathered for a lively football match. For two hours, the employees let their competitive spirit and sense of camaraderie run wild, a moment of pure fun and letting off steam.




Cultural immersion: visit to the Kwame Nkrumah Museum


To round off this experience in style, participants visited the museum dedicated to Kwame Nkrumah, the first president of Ghana. This immersion was an opportunity to learn about the history of President Kwame Nkrumah , to be inspired by the ideals of leadership and vision that have marked the history of this country.




A promising success for the future


This Team Building was a success on all levels: enriching exchanges, concrete learning, and unforgettable moments of relaxation.


With ambitious objectives for 2025, SOFICAU GROUP employees are leaving motivated and better equipped to meet the challenges ahead.


Team Building 2024 in Accra will remain engraved as a significant edition, at the crossroads of performance, humanity and inspiration.
